How much do you have to drink to stay healthy?
The rule is to drink 2 litres of water a day, corresponding to 8 full glasses, to be taken this way:
- in the morning (at 8.30 am to 12.30 pm) drink the first litre;
- in the afternoon (from 2.30 pm to 8 pm).30) drink the second litre.
You have to drink during the main meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)?
You should not forget water even during meals: it helps to better thin the gastric juices, it improves digestion while limiting the sense of swelling. It is advisable to take a sip of water between courses.
How should you drink?
It is advisable to drink in small sips: the smaller the sip, the more the body benefits, because you allow the water to flow slowly to each cell and hydrate it effectively and constantly. In addition, drinking gradually regulates the metabolic processes.
It is wrong, therefore, to swallow half a litre of water all in one breath because, instead of hydrating the body, the large amount of water weighs down the activity of the kidneys, quickly reaches the bladder, inducing the body to the urgency of get rid the liquid immediately thus cancelling its nutritional potential.
How to drink during sport?
When practising sport, our body loses a lot of water under stress, which must be replenished. The advice is therefore to recover lost liquids by drinking little by little, before during and after physical activity.
